TJ Burkey loved to support and help others, he was always willing to listen, offer advice, and feed you anything he could do to support you. He was extremely active in the community of Idaho Springs and helped develop many community projects. So the leaders of the Idaho Springs Marketing Alliance along with TJ's friends and family have decided to start the Thomas Joel Burkey Memorial Fund. This fund will be a part of the ISMAs initiative to support the members of our community with addiction recovery, mental health resources, and youth addiction prevention and education. The ISMA is devoted to working with The City of Idaho Springs and Clear Creek County to develop new partnerships to address the problems this area faces with a lack of services and by providing financial assistance for those ready to seek help.
The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
